Regarding new US Tariffs and Import Taxes (August 2025)

Shipments Bound for the USA

The U.S. government is ending the “de minimis” exemption for packages under $800 effective August 29, 2025.  This means that U.S. Customs and USPS will begin collecting import duties and taxes on all shipments entering the United States, regardless of value.

Because U.S. Customs has not finalized clear procedures, there may be shipping delays, unexpected fees, or even returned packages as the system adjusts.  For the first six months (until February 2026), USPS may apply either a flat fee of $80 per item or a variable tax rate depending on the product category.

At this time, Halo Mics cannot calculate or pre-collect these taxes, since no official guidance has been provided from U.S. Customs.  We will share updates as soon as the rules become clearer.

If you are concerned about potential import costs or delays, we recommend waiting a few weeks before placing orders to allow U.S. Customs and USPS time to implement the new system.

We will provide updates in the future once we know more.
